| Background: An alien has stolen the Soccer Cup but collides with a satellite and the cup is spread all over the world. You, as a Soccer Kid armed only with your trusty soccer ball, must travel the world and collect the pieces of the cup. You will visit England, Italy, Russia, Japan, and the U.S. and battle the police, rabid dogs, low flying birds, and crazy motor scoters.Game Play: A soccer game that does not suck! It takes a while to learn all the moves that controls soccer kid, but they really improve your performance. The control is very tight and the music is just excellent. You will be humming it once you are done. The sound effects on the other hand can be down right grating and so the sound adjustments come in handy. The graphics are just about what I expected for the type of game and the time it was made: not spectacular but it gets the job done.
Here you can hit an opponent twice before dying which is helpful and you get several continues. The end bosses and birds can be very difficult. The birds will come out of nowhere and hit you so watch out! The manual and box were well done and the quality of production leaves nothing to be desired. Pros: music, variety of locations, control, nice challenge |
